The Danger of Preaching

Opening up the Bible to read, study, and preach can become a cold and lifeless affair because we are constantly handling the Bible. We must remember that the Bible is not a kind of practice cadaver that we coldly and carelessly cut open with our exegetical instruments each week. Rather, it is "living" and requires us to spiritually scrub in through prayer, repentance, and confession before we take a closer look at it.
